Iowa, Fertile Grounds for Growing Business: Attracting Businesses to our State

 

The subject of the second Iowa Family Impact Seminar, held on May 20, 2011, was Iowa, Fertile Grounds for Growing Business: Attracting Businesses to our State.

 

The featured speakers were Ron Cox, Sammis White, and Paula Nissen. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ron Cox is the Associate Dean for the College of Engineering and Director of Center for Industrial Research and Service at Iowa State University. His presentation was entitled "Healthy Families--Healthy Businesses."

 

Sammis White is the Associate Dean for the School of Continuing Education and Professor of Urban Planning at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. His presentation was entitled "Job Creation Strategies for Iowa."

 

Paula Nissen is the Public Service Executive for the Regional Research & Analysis Bureau of the Iowa Department of Workforce Development. Her presentation was entitled "Iowa Workforce Development’s Surveys & Analysis."
