Aging in Iowa: Policy Responses to Changing Demographics

 

The subject of the sixth Iowa Family Impact Seminar, held on May 13, 2014, was Aging in Iowa: Policy Responses to Changing Demographics. The featured speaker was Jennifer Margrett.

 

Dr. Jennifer Margrett is an associate professor of Human Development and Family Studies and Director of the Gerentology Program at Iowa State University. Her presentation was entitled "Aging in Iowa: Implications for Policy."

 

It was followed by a panel, moderated by Dianne Bystrom, that included Joel Wulf, Megan Gilligan, Brian Kaskie, and Elain Eshbaugh.

 

Joel Wulf is the Assistant Director of the Iowa Department of Aging.

 

Dr. Megan Gilligan is an assistant professor in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies and a faculty associate of the Gerentology program at Iowa State University.

 

Dr. Brian Kaskie is an associate professor in the Department of Health Management and Policy at the University of Iowa.

 

Dr. Elaine Eshbaugh is an associate professor of Gerentology and Family Studies and coordinator of the Gerentology program at the University of Northern Iowa.

 

Dr. Dianne Bystrom is the director of the Carrie Chapman Catt Center for Women and Politics at Iowa State University.
